Mission
Our mission at Isthmus Theatre Collaborative is to discover and cultivate virtual and in-person spaces for artists to galvanize ideas into collective action through embodied storytelling. Our goal is to create a rich body of work in the coming years. Each piece created within the Collaborative will stand on its own, while also conjoining to form a cohesive, figurative isthmus mapped by topography in visual landscape and thematic motif.
Across the country, a diverse roster of artists is being assembled to give and receive support in the development of new work that transcends barriers, uses a variety of mediums and forms of expression, illuminates underrepresented stories, and makes the invisible, visible. Together, we will forge ongoing exploration, communication, and initiation into the present moment.
