Jane Jerardi Performance

Jane Jerardi is a time-based artist based in Chicago, working in the media of choreography, performance, and video.
 
Her most recent project, entitled delicate hold, poetically marries movement and text, video and sound in a meditation on desire. Created in collaboration with its performers – Keisha Janae, Precious Jennings, Chih-Hsien Lin, and Ginger Wagg. Plans are underway to present it online through video interactions and live stream in late August 2020.

Videos overlaid onto intricate movements inscribe and reveal hidden histories. Texts unfold as lists of past wants and outlines for future utopias. A feminist manifesto on longing and living, delicate hold, asks audiences to come closer to their own innermost desires.

All donations will go towards realizing this project, including paying for my collaborators' fees.
