There are certain things you should know before you visit Jawbone.
For one, watch your footing, especially up by the old mine. You can never be too sure what is rust is laying around up there.
Second, if you’re scared of moths, there’s a lot of em up here and they’re only getting bigger.
Oh, and if you’re visiting now, there are rumors of a new haunting. The residents of the Bones (that’s what the locals call it, of course) believe in ghosts. With every fiber of their beings, they believe in ghosts.
"Jawbone" explores the nexus between ghost stories and sexual assault, asking which stories we choose to believe and which we don't.
After a year of writing, workshopping and fundraising, we raised the funds to get us to Scotland and put our show on the global stage. The cancellation of the 2020 Fringe was a blow to the team of fabulous actors and artists we had assembled, but the project has emerged from its cocoon stronger than ever.
The new iteration of
Jawbone exists as an ambitious animated feature film. We gathered our team of actors, using Zoom to our advantage to collect a group of incredible artists from all over the United States, from the Bay Area, to Portland, to Atlanta, to Philadelphia. We were able to expand our team to include a sound mixer (Leah Prather), assistant director (Sheridan Merrick) and production manager (Nick Hatcher) to produce the best piece we can. We’re also working with veteran oil painter
Shelley Jordan and incredible 2D animator
Haley Monsoon to bring this vision to life.
We invite you to join us on our journey to Jawbone.
