Grab your “all access” pass into the mysterious world of Broadway’s backstage! Follow veteran “star dresser” Pam as she works her magic through costume changes, confrontations, and quirky actor demands all while staying hidden in the shadows with the rest of the crew. When the stress of invisibility gets heavy, supportive allies rally and equip her to stand up, curse like a sailor, and be seen. This may be a solo show, but Kimberly Prentice quick-changes her way through thirty plus distinct characters as we follow Pam’s hilarious – and sometimes harrowing – journey of working in the dark, unseen, while trying not to disappear.
After an award-winning premiere at the United Solo Theatre Festival in NYC, Misti, Allison and Kimberly have teamed up to take UNSEEN first to The Barrow Group in NYC for a limited engagement July 19-21, followed by a full month long run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland August 2-25, 2024.
And we need YOUR help to get this show with it's universal themes of feeling unseen and unheard ready to launch at the largest theatre arts festival in the world! This opportunity will allow UNSEEN to be viewed first by our hometown crowd and then by a wider audience including industry professionals and international promoters in hopes of giving it a long life afterwards.
To bring this vision to life, we are asking for $35,000. Your tax deductible donation will support rehearsal space, venue and festival fees, PR and marketing costs, artist and technician fees, and travel among other things. Below is the full breakdown.
