About

"Kairos" is a 15-minute NYU thesis short film written and directed by Chinese-American director, Yidan (Lillian) Pang. Our work entails bringing the story to life from preproduction to postproduction alongside our creative team and actors. "Kairos" is a film that explores the act of waiting. In the empty backroom of a late-night bistro, a man and a woman take turns telling each other a story about a zookeeper and his missing tiger. As the zookeeper awaits his tiger, the man and woman, also await a moment of connection, as they navigate the delicate tension of their first—and possibly last—night together. When an unexpected fight erupts in the bistro, the fate of their night is altered.
