My name is Antonia Kasper and my company is called
KASPER PRODUCTIONS. I moved to New York City from Oklahoma several years ago to pursue musical theatre. Noticing that original material and material for women was needed in theatre, I decided to write plays, articles and books that revolved around women and those identifying as women.
Living in Hell's Kitchen since the 1990s, I wrote stories of what I experienced and my friends had experienced.
True Confessions of The Straight Man was originally a screenplay. Because the material is historical of the gay pride movement in New York City, my team and I launched the show as a play (The Players Theatre in 2019) and then as a musical (The Laurie Beechman Theatre in 2022) People loved it.

45 Coffee Dates (In search of my soulmate through cyberspace & beyond!) is based on my true life story of how I met 50 men in 90 days through online dating over a cup of coffee at different Starbucks in NYC because I wanted to get married and have a baby...if there was still time. Originally written as a funny book this project developed into a heartwarming, dramatic and poignant story that found it's momentum as my one woman show.
. We currently have the
acclaimed director Austin Pendleton attached.

STRIPPED is based on some of my friends who worked as strippers in an upscale strip club in New York City. I found this "fantasy world of heightened sexuality and money" interesting. This play became a jukebox musical that had sold out performances for 2 years Off-Off Broadway (2001-2003) and then for a limited Off-Broadway Run in 2004. This project explores: love vs money, exploitation of women (and men and their money) racism, personal identity, abuse, addiction, and pre "me too" movement subjects.
Kasper Productions would like eventually to take on other women driven projects (books/plays/films) by helping other women see their creations come to life!
KASPER PRODUCTIONS now needs your help! So we can continue writing and producing projects that explore women's issues, gives more jobs to women in the arts and celebrate women!
