This feature film biopic chronicles the inspiring life of Spartanburg native Kitty Black Perkins, the visionary fashion designer behind the first Black Barbie. Through a compelling cinematic narrative, the project aims to celebrate an unsung American pioneer and correct a significant historical oversight in design history. Parallel to the film's development, we are launching a local youth mentorship pilot program to empower the next generation of young creative girls in South Carolina.
