About

Always Here (working title) in (development/production) was inspired by an online petition to save an ancient Native American village site in Massachusetts that is threatened by government agencies who ignore archeological reports and are giving a green light to the development of a roundabout to be built over it. Always Here brings attention to the myriad of situations and people who challenge legal barriers and ongoing systemic practices that allow the destruction and cultural erasure of Indigenous nations. What we first discovered through that petition was the tip of the iceberg.
We have many allies, among them, Indigenous cultural advisors, (many are tribal historical preservation officers), archeologists, lawyers, community groups and individuals. We have filmed in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Connecticut, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Kentucky. We have also donated our creativity to support grass roots activists who strive to protect these precious areas: The Time is Now - Sacred Ceremonial Stone landscapeshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBoXt7t69ng

Our award-winning feature documentary film, A Castle in Brooklyn, King Arthur, with Emmy/Golden Globe winning actor, Brian Cox as Narrator, excelled in the festival circuit internationally. After its successful run an entertainment lawyer meticulously combed through the film and vetted it for errors and omissions insurance in anticipation of distribution. We received professional consultation to help foresee any remaining distribution hurdles and are consequently completing a 90 minute cut from the original 101 minutes to broaden our opportunities.

Prior to completing A Castle in Brooklyn, King Arthur  was the award winning short documentary, Sweet Soul in Exile (2018), (2020 Audience Award - Berlin Short Film Festival)  (Honorable Mention Award - (NYWIFT).  It had its Australian Premiere in Melbourne in 2019 at the Cinema Nova Theatre in the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival.

Your donations allow us to continue our quest.  Our top priorities are raising funds to complete filming Always Here and to ready the feature documentary, Blues for 475 Kent, for distribution and submitting to festivals.  Blues for 475 Kent was chosen as a Spring Grant Hot Film in the Making by From the Heart Productions.
