About

For summer 2024, Lanes Coven presents A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Lily Narbonne, and The Servant of Two Masters, adapted by Justin Genna. The company looks forward to a spirit of levity this summer, both productions outdoors at Windhover. All performances are under the tent, so the show goes on rain or shine, unless of course there is a bad rainstorm.

Lanes Coven's mission is actor-driven. We create reimagined Shakespeare and classics, at low cost, for the Cape Ann Community, and its visitors. We spend all year making sure that we tell these stories understandably, and act these lines with clarity and ease. Shakespeare is for everyone. With the combination of the peaceful outdoors and entertaining productions, we guarantee, you'll walk away knowing more and with an ignited imagination.

Last summer, Lanes Coven completed its biggest season yet, with Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Ernest directed by Lily Narbonne and Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet directed by Justin Genna, both outdoors at Windhover. Audiences were astounded, coming from Cape Ann but also this year from California, NYC, New Hampshire, Lennox, Harvard, Beckett, and Boston, to view the theatrical innovation.
