I have committed my life to connecting to my inner-self, embracing patience, and letting go of the fears that so often keep me from feeling free; I hope to help others do the same. My mission is to imprint this affirming feeling of presence onto others, sharing my beautiful life stories through dance to remind my viewers that they, too, have the power within themselves to find contentment. I aspire to create innovative choreographies with an intimate group of dancers that express these emerging understandings of our intuitions.
"Let Us Bleed, Then Heal" (Odyssey Theatre Los Angeles, July 8-10, 2022) is a story driven work, illustrating my healing journey since the death of my Mom in 2014. Throughout the show, we use voiceovers to read my past journal entries and portray the hurt & loss and also love & growth of this seven year span. My story reflects deep questions of our shared humanity…how can we move through life more seamlessly, not allowing our wounds to choose our paths, communication patterns and relationships? We all experience pain that can feel impossible to overcome, but how often do we pause to think how to heal this hurt? The presence and awareness my amazing dancers carry throughout this story is palpable and intriguing. This work is emotional, vulnerable and captivating in its story and I believe it will leave you feeling contemplative of your own journey through this life.
