Letters Aloud is a wonderfully unique presentation where professional actors (and hand-picked local community members) read private letters from famous people in front of a live audience, bringing humanity to history...one letter at a time.
Our formula is simple: we pick one of any number of themes (love, fame, rejection, and struggle being a few) and explore the complex, contradictory and oftentimes hilarious aspects of that theme by basically digging through people’s mail.
Then we read the good one’s out loud.
Since forming in 2013, Letters Aloud has expanded from a part-time labor of love to a full-time business of entertaining, educating and reconnecting audiences across the country with this vital, almost forgotten form of correspondence.
