Live Muzic Mondayz delivers a fresh slice of Americana Folk Rock Country Jazz Bluegrass Pop Music (and cute pets) right to your device from NYC & Beyond! Mondayz, 8-10pm!
Live Muzic Mondayz started in 2019 as a free weekly concert series in the East Village, motivated by the observations that high-quality live music should be accessible to everyone, and that artists need venues and audiences in order for their work to flourish. It was a magical event where people enjoyed playing, listening, and being part of the creative process of live performance. (We have many recordings and videos of these shows that could be archived and made available to the public.)
In March 2020 we moved online and settled into a new format featuring live solo performances! Instead of 3 bands, we're now 8 solo performers, and an occasional guest. The weekly line-up is an amazing collective of singers, songwriters, producers, and recording artists:
James Lane (of metal band, Elefantkiller)
Rob Taube (of Groove Garden, a community music school and recording studio)
Kathryn Lewis (of Country City, Sheriff and The Deputy, and The Botsband)
Vern Woodhead (of rock band, Woodhead)
Sheriff Bob, The Sheriff of Goodtimes (check out the award-winning short film about him here!)
Sam Dallas (of The Sam Dallas Trio and Country City)
Jeremy Ain (of Jeremy Ain)
Victor V. Gurbo (of Victor V. Gurbo & Co.)
Theo B. (producer of Porch Stomp, an annual Folk Music festival in NYC)
LMM is about sharing music in order to create a better world, not only with the music itself, but also by organizing fundraisers around the shows to raise resources for causes outside our show (such as for animals and people in need due to massive fires, and clothing and food drives). We look forward to growing our audience and welcoming more music lovers into our little world where live music makes a difference out in the big world.
We keep our overhead low, but the show needs funding to survive! Your contribution makes a difference. YOU make a difference!
We look forward to being playing in-person again, and when we do, we'll still stream the show, so come on over and get cozy with us on youtube or Facebook!
