Lyricycles' mission is to enrich arts communities by bringing high-level performances to audiences, opportunities for performers, and expanding the artistic horizons of both. Our goal is presenting accessible performances of the vast canon of art song in a new form of short-story theater: generous, heart-centered, and imaginative perspectives that integrate the poetry and music of song with theater, dance, mime and visual storytelling. This endeavor seeks to reveal the possibilities of this new form to plumb the depths of human relationships and deepen our understanding of ourselves. In an innovative expression, it must serve to clearly assert the role of art music, dance, and theater in community accessible performing arts.
