Magic Carpet Ride is a participatory installation by Syncopy that makes
resonance between people visible. Participants lie back on a magic
carpet, close their eyes, and travel, guided by sound, scent, and other
sensory effects, while EEG headsets read their nervous system responses
in real time. At the end, a thermal printer produces their "frequency
fingerprint": four glyphs sealed in wax. The quest: find the others on
your wavelength. Syncopy designs immersive experiences informed by
neuroscience, installations and rituals that reveal the hidden layers
of how people experience the world and connect with each other. Magic
Carpet Ride premieres at the Bombay Beach Biennale in Spring 2026.
