MALACARNE Makes Art That Transforms Place
MALACARNE originator, Alice Gosti has rewritten the meaning of “stage,” transforming steamboats, airplanes and churches into performance spaces. Each season MALACARNE has ventured into new spaces, creating ambitious performance rituals that bridge history and memory with architectural and emotional landscapes.

Last year, MALACARNE produced three site-specific immersive performances [Volunteer Park Conservatory, Seattle Center Monorail and Inscape Building], hosted a series of Fall workshops [Cornish Incubator Residency], and our dance film this is concrete has been accepted into 7 International Film Festivals.

In 2024, we’ll continue with our immersive site-responsive performances, including the sky is the same color everywhere or on the rapture of being alive, our most ambitious project to date.

Your support will help us achieve three goals:
  1. Support our new project the sky is the same color everywhere or on the rapture of being alive
  2. Fund MALACARNE artists
  3. Expand our production + admin team

To me, art is the way that we practice imagination, and it’s the way that we can make space for wonder about the infinite possibilities in our future.

Community collaboration is the literal scaffolding of our site-responsive performances.

Be part of bringing these dreams into reality by making a gift to MALACARNE today.

*Donations to MALACARNE are tax-deductible through our fiscal sponsor, Fractured Atlas, and help cover artist, designer, administrator, production and rehearsal fees, plus costumes, tour management, marketing and administrative costs.

You are invited on Sunday, April 28th, 2024 to GATTO NERO - the party. This will be the culminating event of our crowdfunding campaign. Come, enjoy an evening of intimate performance, and let us celebrate you and all you do to make MALACARNE possible.

Thank you!
