The Marin Improv Festival will offer an opportunity for all to participate in making improv and attending improvised theater performances. Our artistic practice is grounded in listening and collaboration. In our jams, classes, and performances, we have seen firsthand that improv is an antidote to the toxic effects of technology, isolation, and polarization. Audiences love seeing the high wire act of a group of ordinary people making up a whole theater piece, incorporating the audience's stories and suggestions. Improv performers collaborate with the audience and find commonalities that bring us together through laughter.
