Mother daughter bonds are pushed to the limit when a struggling comic, SAM, returns to
Northern Minnesota for a hilariously punishing holiday tradition: truffle making.
After her mother cons her boss into giving Sam this Thanksgiving off, Sam begrudgingly arrives home to quickly find herself sucked into the perfect storm of passive aggressive patterns, unmet expectations, and old family grudges. In an effort to to finally earn the respect she deserves from her
mother, RHETA, Sam endeavors to make her own truffle flavor and finally win a literal seat at the adult table.
But when Sam accidentally jeopardizes this year’s truffle haul, she once again finds herself branded the black sheep of the family and worse, her only shot at redemption hinges on an
unlikely alliance with none other than Rheta.
