At the heart of this project is a young artist with a powerful dream and an even stronger work ethic. Mikah, a 13-year-old aspiring professional dancer dedicated to mastering her craft and inspiring others through movement.
Mission Statement: Our mission is to support and nurture Mikah’s artistic growth and creative journey as she pursues her goal of becoming a professional dancer, while also using her story to inspire other young dancers especially those who may not have access to the same opportunities to pursue their passions with dedication, confidence, and resilience.
About the Project: Mikah’s dance journey began at a young age, where her natural talent, discipline, and love for performing quickly became evident. She spends countless hours training in various styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and hip-hop. She also participates in national competitions, dance intensives, and local performances all of which come with significant financial costs such as tuition, costumes, choreography fees, travel, and professional training expenses.
Through this fiscal sponsorship, we aim to raise the necessary funds to ensure Mikah can continue developing her skills at a competitive level year-round, without financial barriers limiting her opportunities. Contributions will directly support her tuition for advanced training programs, travel expenses to national dance conventions and competitions, and performance-related costs that allow her to grow artistically and professionally.
Beyond her own development, Mikah strives to be a positive role model for other young dancers. She uses her platform to promote perseverance, self-confidence, and the importance of following one’s dreams regardless of circumstances. As her artistry evolves, Mikah hopes to engage in community-based workshops and performances to inspire and connect with other youth interested in the performing arts.
