Mirror Theater Company’s annual Back to Shakespeare campaign aims to raise $10,000 for our second season!
Last March, through the generosity of so many, we produced our first play, Much Ado About Nothing. With your financial partnership, we filled the gap between providing substantial compensation for our actors and creative team and providing an accessible theater experience for the average New Yorker by keeping ticket costs low. And we want to do it again! Your financial partnership empowers us to do that.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 through our Back to Shakespeare campaign for Mirror Theater Company’s second season. Your support directly equips us to:
- pay our actors and creative team
- build our set and props
- purchase and build costumes
- rent rehearsal space
- misc - marketing materials, event insurance, programs, etc
Whatever your capacity is to help us meet our $10,000 goal for our second season, we hope you’ll join us for our next production in March 2027 at The Players Theatre in the West Village. Keep an eye on our website and our instagram for more information.
About Us
Mirror Theater Company was founded on the idea that art, especially theater, has the ability to reflect ourselves and our world back to us. “To hold, as ‘twere, a mirror up to nature” as Shakespeare wrote in act III of
Hamlet. This reflection, we believe, has a positive impact on us as individuals and as a community. As theater goers and theater makers, we cultivate a spirit of curiosity which allows the story that unfolds before us to spark self-examination and rich conversation. We seek to encourage and empower our audiences to take part in both.
