MODI! MOSHIACH ENERGY is a feature-length documentary that tells the story of the most original Jewish voice in comedy today. Modi is observant, proudly gay, and married to a young Catholic man. His sold-out shows build bridges across religions, cultures, and generations. Modi has coined the term “Moshiach Energy” to describe the feeling he creates among audiences. It is the moment when fear softens, strangers become community, and people experience unadulterated joy.
Our documentary follows Modi in the years leading up to his biggest performance yet: two sold-out shows at Radio City Music Hall in April 2026. Along the way, we witness not only the Moshiach Energy that Modi generates, but also the toll it takes on him: the preparation, doubt, exhaustion, and vulnerability. We see how his family, extended now by marriage, helps prop him up.
