MOSAÏQUE is about making dance-theater accessible to everyone, celebrating our shared humanity through movement and collaboration. The project’s 2026–2027 U.S. tour will bring performances to theaters, festivals, and community spaces, from universities to senior centers and hospitals to penitentiaries, each shaped in partnership with local artists. The work itself embodies Dance Without Borders, blending forms or dance and art into an experience as diverse as the audiences it serves.
MOSAÏQUE is directed by Colombian-born choreographer Sofía Forero and French artist Nicolas Fiery, who are a duo shaped by movement, imagination, and a shared belief in the power of dance to connect people. Both graduates of The Ailey School with Honors, now successful working for structures such as the MET Opera or Ballet Hispanico, they draw from a rich spectrum of styles, from hip-hop and jazz to ballet, modern, and Latin dance, creating work that is emotional, cinematic, and deeply human. Their choreography has appeared on stages across the U.S, Europe, and Colombia, and their individual careers span acclaimed companies, international performances, and community-centered arts work. Together, they bring a rare blend of soul, heart, and vision.
At the heart of our work is a core mission: to replace distance with understanding. In a time when people often feel divided, we use dance-theater to remind audiences of the experiences we all share, such as our fears, joys, memories, and dreams. Our performances invite people to look beyond differences and rediscover the humanity that connects us. Our creative process is guided by a deep attention to why each piece exists. Every element, whether characterization, costume, lighting, or music, is intentionally designed to amplify the message at the core of the work. This thoughtful approach ensures that everything onstage moves in harmony, allowing audiences to feel the story rather than merely observe it.
