Welcome to the fundraising page for Move To Protect!

The current film MTP is working on is dedicated to the Climate Crisis, and the Arctic environment. In October 2022, Alexandra embarked on a sailing expedition in Svalbard with The Arctic Circle Artist & Scientist Residency Program, where she filmed for her  environmental dance short film series dedicated to the Arctic landscape and the impacts of the climate crisis. Move To Protect is currently fundraising for all post-production of these films, as well as a future mixed-media live performance piece utilizing projection, dance, and a water element. 

By blending dance, film and storytelling, Move To Protect works to advocate for the protection and preservation of wild lands and natural water resources. 

While recognizing and showcasing the cause and effect relationship of the natural world and humanity, MTP strives to invoke sympathy for these crucial areas, educate on the environments, and inspire viewers to take action in protecting the natural world.

With the support of your donations, Move To Protect creates short films designated to areas that are in need of protection from a variety of threats such as: oil and gas drilling, fossil fuel digging, mismanagement of water availability, and over-development.
The artists immerse themselves in the environment while choreographing the movement, creating original music compositions as well as during the entirety of the filming periods.

Move To Protect's goal is to bring the wild outdoors and our relationship with it to viewers while reminding and informing about how awe-inspiring and beautiful, but also necessary, our natural environment is.
