My Friend is a short film project that will be filmed entirely in the City of Hudson, New York. The film is contemplative and thought-provoking exploration of the human experience, and our emotional relationship with death throughout one’s lifetime. The many eras and passage of time throughout this short piece enhance the parable through visual storytelling and cinematic grandeur.
The film is a tale about a man's relationship with death throughout his life, and how it shapes him as a person. The film will explore different stages of his life, how he grapples with the idea of death, how it affects his relationships and how it ultimately shapes his perspective on life.
The cast of the film are all respected members of the Screen Actors Guild, led by Frankie Faison and Chaley Rose. The crew consists of experienced production professionals who have worked in the film industry at all budget levels for 10 years or more. Their expertise will ensure that the production will be executed under the highest standards. Our goal is to hire a majority BIPOC and female crew, including all of our department heads, so that the piece can also showcase the abilities of artists in the industry to command departments they would normally work for on major motion pictures and network television.
The combination of a powerfully emotive story, a highly-skilled cast and crew, and the picturesque setting of Hudson, NY, My Friend will be visually-stunning and impassioned project for all involved.
