NACHMO is your yearly choreographic kick in the pants. It spurs dancers to choreograph by challenging them with a deadline and supporting them with a community of peers. Every year we invite dancers to forge a new work in one month, from January 1st to 31st.
Many dancers have the inclination and skills to make their own work, but are limited by the economics of time and funding. Our framework expands artistic resources by allowing individuals to network, collaborate, barter, and share. Through live events like workshops and improv jams, an interactive website, and end-of-month shows, we create a community that expects its members to work. We are grateful for your support!
