About

Natalee Wright is a mixed media artist, arts educator, and founder of Artful Transformations. Drawing on a Master's degree in Forensic Psychology and more than twenty years in behavioral health and social services, she creates psychologically informed artwork exploring trauma, resilience, identity, relationships, grief, healing, and human behavior.

Her interconnected bodies of work include Breaking the Silence, exploring harmful relationship dynamics, boundaries, grief, and healing; Becoming Monsters, examining childhood experiences and the forces that shape human behavior; In the After, exploring life after rupture, estrangement, loss, and survival; and Where Wings Take Us, centered on transformation, resilience, and possibility.

The artwork extends beyond the gallery through traveling and public exhibitions, publications, artist talks, educational materials, workshops, speaking engagements, and community dialogue. Breaking the Silence is being developed as a traveling exhibition and publication with accompanying talks and opportunities for audiences to contribute their own reflections.

This same mission guides Artful Transformations, where exploratory and skill-based programming makes creativity approachable for teens and adults. The Community Access Fund helps remove barriers by supporting free and reduced-cost art experiences for veterans, healthcare workers, police, firefighters and other first responders, domestic abuse survivors, caregivers, teens navigating difficult transitions, and others who may otherwise be unable to participate.

Across Wright's artwork, exhibitions, publications, education, and community programming is one shared purpose: using art to foster growth, healing, connection, empathy, reflection, and deeper understanding of the human experience.
