Our Goal: To bring about the creation of a national museum that is focused upon mental health and wellness – multi-campus and online.

Our Mission: Strengthening mental health literacy, through culture and the arts, nationwide, by bringing the museum to you.

NMMHP was invited by the American Alliance of Museums to write an article about our innovative museum-building approach. Our story was distributed to museums nationally as part of Dispatches from the Future of Museums in 2023.

Our Programs:

I Get It
• A public art exhibition - inspired by AIDS Quilt
• Creative premise: each person has a “mental health mosaic” - let's share what makes us well
Student filmmaking collaboration with NYC iSchool teacher/students launched (2023)

Community Songwriting on Campus
• Launched in November 2022
• First song written by students: “Shaking Off the Fright”
• A collaboration with RI Music Hall of Famer Mark Cutler & Same Thing Project
Front-page articles in Providence Journal, Worcester Magazine & 2 other USA Today-network newspapers (2022) 

America's Mental Health & Wellness Corridor
• Presentation at National Park Service event (2022)
Opinion editorial in Worcester Telegram to share vision (2023)
• Brainstorming session with community leaders and potential collaborators from other nonprofit organizations (2023)
• First campus of a national museum of mental health?
