A Place To Play During The Pandemic.
The NVMO is, first and foremost, a place for medical musicians to come together and play while the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage. There is a wide network of community orchestras all around the country that exclusively serve exclusively medical professionals. These groups have been gutted by the crisis leaving many nurses, EMTs, students, doctors, and admins without their outlet when they need it the most. Enter the NVMO.
Under the guidance of John Masko, we’ve worked with medical orchestras from around the country to create a temporary refuge and release for their musicians. We work with them to practice and record music. We then produce a video of that music giving them an adequate substitute of live performance. In this way, we give back to those who are giving so much for us.
Why do this for these musicians? It’s simple, really. This is something our musicians love. It also takes them out the stress of their daily work. Every musician is reeling right now and everyone wants to get back to playing. We decided these musicians needed to get back to playing and so we went to work building that space.
