Recognizing that New York State's food production / farming system must provide healthy food for everyone, I've committed my hours, energies and creative practice towards making NY the first completely soil first / organic+ / regenerative state in the nation — a project with the working title "Natural New York."
Via an initiative of story-telling and new media production (primarily short-form video) created to intrigue people into caring about food production and soil regeneration via joyful, surprising, “spoonful of sugar” public facing messaging — I call them “Seed Bombs."
Shot primarily vertically, Seed Bombs make use of tricks, ideas and methods common to contemporary social media communications, such as green-screen, time-lapse, slow-motion video, ASMR audio capture (think cows chewing grass in stereo)and animation. Made to entice and illuminate, share information and ignite a sense of possibility, Seed Bombs are created to reach the intended audience where they are — social media.
The current focus is on the elevating of others — of their work, and their stories — with creative rigor. Seed Bomb stories are double-dipped in joy, beauty and whimsical surprise.
