About

I'm Noelle McGrath DePaula, an experienced character actress residing in Brooklyn.
In addition to my work in Los Angeles and the Mid-West, I've become a fixture on the Off-Broadway stages of New York, from the Metropolitan Playhouse on the Lower East Side to T. Schreiber Studios in Chelsea to The Gallery Players in Brooklyn. I've also coached many young performers, written librettos, performed a cabaret act, and twice been nominated for the NY Innovative Theatre Award for Best Actress in a Featured Role.
NEW LAMPS, Lighting Up The Classics was created to bring something timeless and valuable into the lives of the average art-starved community. Enlisting first-rate actors and an award-winning music and tech artist, we  presented our inaugural production, Tennessee Williams' THE GLASS MENAGERIE, in June, 2018 at The Episcopal Actors Guild in Manhattan.
It was well-received by the captivated audience, many of whom were discovering the play for the first time.
NY theatre critic Evan Seplow of StageBuddy.com praised the fine acting and innovative use of the intimate space, placing the audience onstage and the actors in the furnished room.
It was a great beginning, and, we hope, the first of many such productions  to enrich the experience of a growing audience.
Current projects under consideration include THE GIN GAME by D.L. Coburn, Pulitzer Prize-winning drama about two seniors confronting the past and present in an assisted-living facility,  and the legendary absurdist classic AMERICA HURRAH! by Jean-Claude Van Itallie.
