Nosilla Dance Project

Nosilla Dance Project is a contemporary dance company based in Boulder, Colorado and led by Artistic Director, Alli Jones.  As a valued member of the Boulder arts community since 2003, Nosilla has created thought-provoking works over the years that reflect the complexity of the human experience, celebrating movement as a universal language that can spark meaningful connection. Our work is characterized by strong partnering and group centered weight sharing, coupled with engrossing stories and creative staging. Known for strong, athletic movement, and a love for  props!. Ten brooms, a 10' ladder covered in laundry, a bed, dancers connected by rope, or a wedding engagement scene at an Italian restaurant.  With containment, I find freedom and the opportunity to create new ways to tell familiar stories whether it be daily living, love, or loss. 

Artistic Director  Alli Jones is driven to create honest, quirky and highly challenging dance works that invite audiences to consider their own joys and challenges within their day-to-day lives. In our rapidly changing political and social landscape, Nosilla is dedicated to providing fearless performances that embrace an inclusive and collaborative environment. Nosilla offers the opportunity to shift perspectives and spark dialogue through movement.
