About

The Olde School Shakespeare Collective is a collective of artists from Chicago, Illinois attempting to make theatre the way Shakespeare would have made theatre: with serious actors, no director, one rehearsal, and performances in a bar. It is their goal to make theatre for working-class people. To reflect the stories of their community in their art, and have their collective be a megaphone amplifying the voices of marginalized communities. To quote the bard himself: "To hold a mirror up to nature." Currently, they are fundraising to help kick-start their goal of becoming a 501(c)(3) non-profit. To do this, they are hoping to fundraise a lump sum so that they can pay for the necessary expenses to launch their collective to a place where they can begin acting a legal entity. It is their hope, that with the help of fractured atlas, they will be able to give their donors a tax credit as an act of good faith so they can continue their work well into the future and give their devoted donor base a token of their appreciation.
