ORH Dance brings the excitement of a new modern dance company founded on the principles of passion, excellence, and professionalism to the Charlottesville area.
Olivia Rivard Hill, company founder and director, sees a dance landscape open with possibilities and opportunity.
About the Artistic Director: Olivia Rivard Hill is a choreographer, dancer and movement specialist. Since re-locating to the Charlottesville area in 2017 she has become a part of the dance community and moved towards a vision of establishing a Modern Dance company. She has created project based dance works as a Resident Artist of McGuffey Arts Center, served on faculty at Charlottesville Ballet (2017-20), UVA Lifetime Physical Activity Dept (2017-18) and Artistic Director (2020-2024) at Cumulus Dance, founding The Move Studio (2019). Her work has fueled collaborations with musicians, choreographers, conceptual artists in Charlottesville, uplifting the art of dance to the wider community.
With this inaugural season in 2025-2026, ORH Dance will present four public performances, employ 6 dancers, and engage performance spaces, designers, technicians, and choreographers.
