My premise is that once upon a time, humans were intimately connected with the Earth, in an "I-Thou" intimate relationship with the earth. Somehow this connection ruptured and/or eroded to the point that -- in addition to raping and pillaging one another -- humans devolved into raping and pillaging the earth. The current climate crisis (as well as the other crises at this time in history) reflects this problem. The point of this project is to support projects that seek, particularly through artistic endeavors, to meaningfully reconnect humans with Mother Earth.
1) We aim to support creative works, such as books, performances, films, and other modalities to convey the importance of connecting with Mother Earth.
2) We aim to offer support for artistic work (such as preparation for shows of work) that convey this message.
3) Ultimately we also have the goal of establishing a site for supporting such artists via artist residencies --for those wishing to devote themselves to the mission of creating awareness, through their artistic endeavors, with regard to the climate crisis and our need to reconnect with Mother Earth in order for humanity to even survive...
