A dark comedy short film captured entirely on 16mm in a single continuous take, One Shot follows a struggling actor who mistakes a real armed robbery for an acting exercise set by her coach and escalates the situation by seriously committing to her character.
As the line blurs between performance and reality, this piece explores the psychological cost of ambition, rejection, insecurity and the pressure to constantly prove oneself in the entertainment industry.
The next project for AACTA and AWGIE nominated filmmaking team ToneLock Films (director Tony Gardiner and screenwriter Lachlan Marks), One Shot stars Claire Lovering, Alexander England and Desiree Mee Jung.
