About

Opus Nova is a new concert series in Fort Worth, TX, was founded by local clarinet pedagogue Dr. Ann Hung and Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra Principal Clarinet Stas Chernyshev.
Inspired by the highly successful Hall Ensemble whose concerts broke new ground by performing traditional chamber music at intimate local venues. These magical gatherings took chamber music back to its origins by connecting audiences and performers in a variety of settings. Opus Nova aims to capture that same spirit, so music lovers will be able to see Opus Nova both in elegant salon performances and in more casual spaces. The salon concerts will be held in beautiful homes and will be preceded by complimentary refreshments and hors d’oeuvres. The causal venues will be familiar local businesses, such as Avoca Coffee Roasters. These informal settings will host harmonies new and old, delivering high-level classical music to Fort Worth in laid back environments.
An important part of Opus Nova’s vision is supporting communities that traditionally have not had access to classical music and its artistic power. The organization will be presenting concerts specifically designed for Autistic children, featuring educational, interactive, and sensory- friendly elements that are constructed to be free from distractions and unnecessary anxiety triggers. This way, classical music can reach autistic children and introduce them to great works of the past in private, safe, and nurturing environments.
