Origami Night is a new multidisciplinary work utilizing poetry, dance, and sensory design to trace a woman’s life from navy brat to radical feminist to mother. The driving force behind the choreo-poem is the poetry of Pamela Annas, a Boston-based poet known for her role in formalizing the pedagogy of Working-Class literature in the United States. In the piece, twenty-two poems arranged in reverse chronological order, shaped into themes inspired by the Wiccan Triple Goddess, form a surreal vision of Crone, Mother, and Maiden.
