Otar Pertakhia Theatre Works is an independent New York–based theatre initiative dedicated to the creation, development, and production of original theatrical works by Georgian-born playwright, director, and independent producer Otar Pertakhia.
Through psychological, surreal, and actor-driven storytelling, the initiative explores memory, identity, power, resistance, loneliness, and the universal search for meaning and human connection.
Current projects include the Best Drama Award-winning Off-Broadway solo play In the Elevator, Bloody Mary, and The Beast in the Garden, a new play currently in development.
Support helps fund writing, research, script development, workshops, artistic collaboration, public presentations, and the development of new plays. It also expands opportunities for future productions and international partnerships.
Otar Pertakhia Theatre Works creates contemporary theatre that brings audiences together across cultures, languages, and borders through stories that speak to our shared humanity.
