About

conceived 2007 | founded 2016 | artgineering for the future of live performance | a designed response to our city's Music Ecosystem Report, as performed by Sound Music Cities (Austin, TX) + sponsored by the City of Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, and WYEP FM

#PHiLLTERarts (PHiLLTER's artistic response tools and services system) to rapidly restore jobs to America's most pandemic-impacted workforce, but more than that:  To model full-stack solutions that centralize our independent, grassroots, and original arts performers in a way that is economically essential and sustainable.

// this page is now updated regularly with our latest relief effort (last update: 10/12/2021)
// our efforts are continual x ongoing since the pandemic.

OUR CURRENT PANDEMIC RELIEF EFFORT (July 2021 - Future):  Project #PHiLLTERspace
// independent arts performance x available technology x local innovation = save local spaces
// current installation: Penn Hills Cinemas, Pittsburgh, PA

Project #PHiLLTERspace blends new ideas with live arts on Pittsburgh Today Live!  [ click here ]
** update: since this aired on 7/31/2021, all indoor events are now fully masked to avoid the further spread of COViD-19 variants.

As an essential community gathering space + business went on life support, PHiLLTER jumped in to begin modeling solutions to save small businesses through modern performance experience artgineering (arts x engineering x local tech x live performance).  We are working to incorporate safe live x local performances into this space to bring people and money into this essential local business, but time is running out.  Project #PHiLLTERspace will move on to another space if time runs out for this business, but the members of this community will lose its only movie theater, locally owned and operated for over 60 years, and one of its last community gathering spaces.  ** PLEASE CONTRIBUTE **  Thank you!
