The Phoenix Rising Community Launch Event, hosted by KDS Foster Closet, is a community initiative that supports foster youth through creativity, hands-on learning, and access to essential resources.
On June 27, 2026, we will bring the community together to introduce programs such as Phoenix Rising and Hammer to Hope. These programs are designed to provide opportunities in art, woodworking, and life skills that help youth build confidence, develop practical abilities, and explore their potential.
Many foster youth age out of the system without consistent support or access to resources. Our goal is to address both immediate and long-term needs by providing essential items such as clothing and hygiene kits, as well as structured programs that promote personal growth and independence.
This launch event will include live demonstrations, interactive activities, and opportunities for the community to learn more about our work and support our efforts.
Funds raised through this campaign will be used to:
Provide clothing and hygiene items for foster youth
Purchase materials for woodworking and resin art activities
Support event setup and youth engagement activities
How your donation helps:
$25 provides a hygiene kit for one youth
$50 supports materials for one hands-on activity
$100 supports one youth’s full participation in the event
$250 or more helps expand and sustain programming beyond the event
