Pianissimo Music Academy & Vuela Conmigo Tour

Pianissimo Music Academy and the Vuela Conmigo Bilingual Literacy and Music Tour bring music, bilingual stories, and books to children across Texas, starting in our border community of Eagle Pass. Both projects share one belief: every child deserves to see their language, their culture, and their story treated as something worth celebrating.

PIANISSIMO MUSIC ACADEMY
Pianissimo Music Academy, based in Eagle Pass, provides bilingual music education to children in our community, including students with autism, ADHD, and other developmental differences. Tuition is below market, and no child is ever turned away for inability to pay. Many of our students come from homes without an instrument, so your gift helps put real instruments in their hands, build a recording space where they learn production alongside their music, and give them a professional stage experience, like a recital at a professional stage experience at a major Texas venue, that most would never otherwise have.

VUELA CONMIGO BILINGUAL LITERACY AND MUSIC TOUR
The Vuela Conmigo Tour is a bilingual author-musician school program that brings live original music, Spanish-English storytelling and poetry, and physical books to students in underserved communities across Texas. In a 45-minute live performance, students experience original compositions and interactive bilingual storytelling drawn from an original bilingual book series featuring gallery-quality illustrations. Every attending student receives a physical copy of the book, for many the first time they have owned a book that looks like them, sounds like them, and speaks directly to them. For older students, the tour also offers a mental health awareness program. We prioritize Title I schools, border communities, and low-income districts where arts programming has been cut and bilingual representation in children’s literature is nearly absent.
