Blue River Productions’ Pit River Documentary will encompass the history, language, art, mythology, music, spirituality, and political action of the Pit River Tribe of Northern California. Focusing on three generations, the Pit River Documentary will explore three time periods, the bloody birth of California, the battles to regain their traditional territory in the 1970s, and the current struggle to stave off environmental degradation of their territory at the hands of multinational corporations.
