This project is a documentary film centered around live Playback Theatre performance, offering viewers an immersive experience of an art form in which personal stories shared by audience members are transformed into spontaneous, improvisational live performance. The film combines interviews with founding practitioners, live event documentation, and archival material spanning decades to explore how Playback Theatre, currently celebrating its 50th year, has grown into a global practice of listening, storytelling, and human connection across many cultures and languages. Through public screenings, festivals, educational presentation, and digital distribution, the project aims to make this unique and deeply participatory art form accessible to wider audiences.
