Working toward an exhibit, presentation and workshop in 2027 of my eleven year Portrait of a Woman Legacy Project. Since 2015 I am creating artwork using my self portrait and my lived life.
For eleven years I have created works for my Portrait of a Woman Legacy Project. In 2015 I began using my aging face producing digitally imagery. I create the works using multiple apps and processes using my own natural world and abstract photography, melded and layered with my self portrait. A primary goal has always been to show an expanded and deeper visual story of what it is to be female and aging, while sparking viewer conversation about their own experiences. Woven into the work is my lived life being loving the natural world as well as living and aging in the USA. The works are a documentation and a commentary, they can be direct and subtle.
My goal is to produce and complete the planned 2027 events, continue producing and secure additional exhibits and residencies to expand the reach of my project.
