About

Project Carry It Forward is a humanitarian storytelling initiative dedicated to amplifying the voices of Sherpa, porter, and mountain‑worker communities whose labor makes the world’s great expeditions possible. These individuals carry extraordinary physical and cultural weight, yet their stories remain largely unseen. Through photography, video, and narrative writing, this project brings their lived experiences into public view with honesty, dignity, and emotional depth.

My work centers on creating accessible, human‑centered stories that foster empathy, cultural understanding, and global awareness. I document daily life in high‑altitude communities, the intergenerational traditions that shape mountain work, and the unseen sacrifices families make to support expedition economies. By sharing these stories through digital platforms, social media, community presentations, and future exhibitions, I aim to make this work widely available at no cost to the public.

Project Carry It Forward also serves a humanitarian purpose. Many of the communities I document face limited access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunity. Through this project, I raise visibility for their needs and mobilize public support for mission‑aligned initiatives. All public donations raised through this fiscally sponsored project are directed toward programs that support mountain workers and their families, including education, community development, and wellbeing initiatives.

My background in emergency nursing, search‑and‑rescue work, and expedition field operations allows me to engage with these communities respectfully and responsibly. As both a storyteller and an expedition participant, I work alongside the very people whose stories I share, ensuring authenticity and cultural sensitivity in every narrative.

Project Carry It Forward blends creative expression with social impact, offering audiences a deeper understanding of the people behind the world’s most iconic mountains — and creating pathways for meaningful support that strengthens the communities at the heart of global mountaineering.
