Pure Land is a documentary portrait which looks deep into the lives of two Japanese Buddhists, Miki and Toni. By simply letting their natural moments roll out and viewing them through the lens of a camera, the viewers will experience Buddhist ways of living and thinking. The film will be composed of cinema-verite videography weaved through with Toni’s voiceover to reveal her US immigration story over 60 years to highlight her transformation in relation to the path.
