Q Concerts

Q Concerts is dedicated to bringing people and ideas together through the power and beauty of music. 

 

We respect and celebrate the composer, the composition, the musician, and the listener — and their spirited collaboration. We honor the richness and importance of diverse musical traditions and the interplay between them.

 

Creative programming is central to Q. Our concerts tell stories that reveal the hidden connections between people, events, and cultures. We perform in art galleries, living rooms, concert halls, museums, schools, and online. We’re very proud to have formed a partnership with The Charleston County Public Library, to bring music to a broad community through its many branches.

 

The atmosphere of a Q concert is welcoming and casual — musicians talk with the audience before, during and after playing — the experience feels less like a performance and more like a lively conversation. Classical music becomes both surprising and familiar as boundaries fall away.

 

Q Concerts is putting down deep roots in Charleston, creating dynamic collaborations with other artists and organizations, engaging new listeners and friends, and meeting the challenges and opportunities that present themselves along the way.
