Re-formed Art/Space, was founded in a decommissioned church, located south of downtown Omaha. The architecture provides a unique space, attracting a wide variety of activities, including music and theater performances, art workshops, meditation events, gardening workshops and community meetings. Re-formed Art/Space is interested in cultivating a diverse community of migratory creative arts practitioners who express themselves through sound, poetry, painting, sculpture, collage-making, gardening and food processing. Re-formed Art/Space supports this community by offering low-cost studio and performance space along with community programming in partnership with Friday2 Art Walk on Vinton. Resources include four basement artist studios that open to a communal kitchen and shared bathroom. An electric kiln is housed in the boiler room and a kick wheel is accessible in the communal area. The upstairs assembly hall has two additional private rooms where music lessons and administrative office space is housed. The upstairs assembly hall is equipped with a piano and pipe organ and is utilized for rehearsals, performances, art workshops and other forms of public assembly. Re-formed Art/Space is structured as a collaborative organization where all workers have the power to influence the programs in which they work, the conditions of their workplace, their own career paths, and the direction of the organization as a whole. Through this model of leadership, we aim to be more effective at serving our community while remaining adaptable and responsive to complex systems - creating a more equitable and fun place to collaborate. To learn more, visit
