The Red Ribbon Revue is a celebration of HIV+ songwriters by HIV+ performers. The idea sprang from a desire to fight against the stigma of HIV by giving HIV+ performers the spotlight to share their status and stories without shame or fear. Created by producers Sam Bolen and Brian Mummert, RRR aims not only to bring together the creative HIV+ community, but also to help spread awareness about HIV treatment today and the struggles remaining in the fight to end HIV/AIDS. The history of the AIDS crisis is tragic, but the music that came out of it is so full of life. The Red Ribbon Revue is a night to raise our voices to say: we’ll be here tomorrow.
