A faith-based organization that teaches filmmaking and music production at no cost to children.
About
Reel Kids teaches children ages 6-12 the art of filmmaking and music production in after-school sessions, as well as week-long summer day camps. Reel Kids is hosted in local churches, retreat centers, or in rented space in the USA and Europe, and is offered for free so children who otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity to do so can learn the art of filmmaking. At the end of each year, the children’s films are screened at a local cinema.
Benefits of Reel Kids Programs
- Children are encouraged to express themselves through imagination and creativity
- Children learn to collaborate
- Teach leadership skills to youth ages 13+
- Children learn Christian principles and biblical values in each session. In secular settings such as schools, these principles are adjusted to character values such as kindness, trustworthiness, respect, patience, etc.
- All Reel Kids opportunities are offered for free so the issue of cost is removed for people who otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity to experience these types of artistic expression
