About

Join Renaissance City Repertory Theatre (RC Rep) for our inaugural production this summer. On August 25, 27 & 28, 2022, RC Rep brings FREE Shakespeare to Riverside Park's Knight Amphitheater in Auburn Hills, MI. Come laugh as RC Rep weaves some of Shakespeare's funniest scenes in the hilarious collage "Witty Fools & Foolish Wits: A Comedic Romp with Shakespeare's Clowns, Knaves, Lovers, and Jesters”, by RC Rep's Producing Artistic Director, David Gram.

Providing FREE theatre during RC Rep's 'Alarums & Excursions' summer festival is a way for us to bring exciting stories to the masses. RC Rep relies exclusively on tax-deductible donations to fund the production of our summer festival, including paying our actors, designers, director, and stage manager; providing designers a budget to bring their vision to life on-stage; and off-set any operating costs to make it all happen.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help RC Rep achieve the goal of $6,000.00 to produce "Witty Fools & Foolish Wits: A Comedic Romp with Shakespeare's Clowns, Knaves, Lovers, and Jesters". Any amount you can contribute is helpful, and most appreciated.

We look forward to seeing you at a performance. Don't be shy – come say "hi" after the show!

RC Rep's mission: Based in the Detroit metro area, Renaissance City Repertory Theatre produces invigorating and thought-provoking theatre that invokes the past, ignites the present, and imagines the future. Drawing primarily on contemporary and classical work from the international canon, RC Rep invites audiences to view the issues of today through the eyes of global writers.

In addition, we seek to cultivate cross-cultural collaborations and develop new theatrical stories that speak to national and international audiences.

Finally, we are committed to building a safe and inclusive working environment where a diverse company of artists, administrators, and audiences can converge on our urban theatrical playground.
